What is a Lash Enhancement?

A lash enhancement tattoo, also known as a lash line tattoo or eyelash enhancement tattoo, is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure performed on the upper and/or lower lash line to create the appearance of fuller and more defined lashes. It involves depositing pigment along the lash line to mimic the look of natural lashes, giving the illusion of thicker and darker lashes.

The lash enhancement tattoo can be customized according to the client's preferences and desired effect. It can range from a soft and natural enhancement to a more dramatic and defined look. The color of the pigment is usually chosen to match the client's natural lash color, but it can also be adjusted to create a darker or more intense effect.

The results of a lash enhancement tattoo typically last for a few years, although individual factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare can affect the longevity of the tattoo. Touch-ups every couple of years may be required to maintain the desired appearance over time.

What is a Perfecting Session?

Most cosmetic tattoo procedures require a minimum of 2 sessions. A Perfecting Session is done within 12 weeks of the initial tattoo and is used to make fine tune adjustments in color and shape. It is typical for pigment to fade about 30% during the healing process and the perfecting session is a chance to add more color if desired.

What is a Refresh?

A Refresh Session is done within 12-24 months of the original tattoo and is your yearly or bi yearly maintenance session. We will refresh your color and make any desired design adjustments.

How long will my permanent makeup last?

The pigments used in cosmetic tattooing are specially formulated for use on the face and are designed to fade over time, usually lasting 1.5-3 years. The exact duration of the results depends on a number of factors, including the color and quality of the pigment, the technique used, and the individual's skin type.

Is my skin right for Permanent Makeup?

Permanent Makeup works with most people’s skin. However there are some important things to consider. The area that is going to be tattooed should be clear of open wounds, acne, cold sores and sunburn.

If the area being tattooed has scarring, very thick or textured skin, thin crepey skin, any dermatological condition, or a previous tattoo, it is recommended to meet for a consultation prior to your tattoo to determine if you are a good candidate.

Are there any medications I should stop taking  before my cosmetic tattoo?

We advise that you consult with your healthcare provider about discontinuing your medication. If you are taking blood thinners (ex: warfarin, aspirin, NSAIDs) or direct oral anticoagulants, these may need to be temporarily discontinued or adjusted for 5-7 days prior to your treatment. These medications can increase the risk of bleeding and bruising. Please consult with your healthcare provider for specific guidance and inform your tattoo artist of their recommendation.
